Welcome to St. Stephen's Lidcombe Anglican Church

St. Stephen's Lidcombe Church was built and opened for worship in 1875 and over the years it has gradually changed from a strong Anglo-Celtic Ministry to become a largely ethnic Chinese Ministry. However, there is a cultural diversity ranging from second generation Australian Chinese to those who are newly arrived in Sydney. Today Lidcombe Church consists of Australians, Chinese and Chinese Australians. We warmly welcome all people, not just Chinese to our worship service.

While we are generally Anglican in terms of nature of our Church leadship, the way we do things and our affiliation to the wider Anglican Church in Sydney, we warmly welcome all people who believe in Jesus Christ and that the Bible is God's Word irrespective of denominational background.

Lidcombe Church seeks to evangelize and disciple all people within our church boundaries as well as having  a gospel concern for Chinese people both within and beyond Lidcombe. We invite you to become a part of this Bible based, Evanglical Church Family. 

Again WELCOME! We invite you to join and participate in our various church activities and especially Home Fellowship Groups during the week. This will provide you with opportunity to meet and relate to people in a smaller context.
